Color Blind Test for Kids
Seven carefully chosen plates with simple digits, answered out loud by your child while you tap the buttons. For kids who know their numbers (about age 4+).
Educational screening only, not a diagnosis; confirm any concern with a pediatric eye exam.
How to run it (1-minute read for parents)
- Sit together about 60–70 cm from the screen, in good lighting
- Make it a game: “What number is hiding in this circle?”
- Your child says the answer out loud — you tap the matching button
- If they say “no number”, choose “Nothing” — some plates are designed that way

Frequently asked questions
What age is this suitable for?
Your child needs to recognize digits 0–9, typically around age 4 and up. For younger children, a pediatric eye doctor can use child-specific methods such as tracing plates.
How reliable is a result for a child?
Attention span and communication affect results, so reliability is lower than for adults. Treat it as a first look — if it suggests a difference, or your child often confuses colors in daily life, book a pediatric eye exam.
Why does early detection matter?
Color vision differences cannot be treated, but they are easy to adapt to. Knowing early lets teachers use labels and position instead of color-only cues, so coloring tasks and charts do not get mistaken for carelessness.
